3000 disability support workers strike

Nearly 3000 support workers who provide residential care for the intellectually disabled are striking today, citing chronic understaffing, and feeling overworked and undervalued. Support workers from IDEA Services want higher pay for senior service workers and action on what they call "unsafe" staffing levels.
