Newsroom journalists astonished at Fiji arrest, release

A New Zealand reporting team looking into the actions of a Chinese resort developer in Fiji were astonished to find themselves arrested on Wednesday night. Newsroom co-editor Mark Jennings, investigations editor Melanie Reid and cameraman Hayden Aull were held overnight at the main Suva police station after developer Freesoul Real Estate accused them of criminal trespass. They were released on Thursday morning and hope to fly back to New Zealand today. Philippa Tolley talks to Melanie Reid.
