Controversial Auckland gun club silenced by court order

From Morning Report, 6:45 am on 11 April 2019

An opponent of a controversial gun club north of Auckland remains skeptical that shooting will stop, despite a court order. The Court of Appeal has revoked the Auckland Shooting Club's certificate of compliance and, last night, the club's Chris Gee told RNZ he's resigned as president and the club is disbanding. John Raffaelli has been an opponent of the club in the Makarau Valley - on land owned by members Raymond O'Brien and Victoria Pichler. Mr Raffaelli told reporter Matthew Theunissen it remains to be seen whether shooting stops once and for all.
