'Dame Jenny is not about to be dropped' - NZ-China Council boss

From Morning Report, 8:10 am on 15 April 2019

Senior members of the New Zealand China Council have been told there's no room for Dame Jenny Shipley to be reappointed when it undergoes a restructure next month. In February the High Court found some of the directors of the collapsed property and construction company Mainzeal, including Dame Jenny, liable for tens of millions of dollars. That same day senior Cabinet ministers discussed the Government's desire for Dame Jenny to be removed from the Council. It's understood that message has been directly passed on to senior council members by at least one Cabinet minister. Stephen Jacobi is the executive director of the New Zealand China Council. He talks to Guyon Espiner.
