Govt overpromised on police recruits - Chris Bishop

The National Party says it looks like the government has overpromised and is about to under-deliver on the number of police recruits. The coalition agreement promised eighteen hundred more police within three years of taking office. But after 18 months, only 666 officers have been added to the police force since July 2017.
