KiwiBuild 'reset' planned, 100k homes target unconfirmed

From Morning Report, 7:10 am on 9 May 2019

A major question mark now hangs over a core plank of KiwiBuild, with the government refusing to guarantee its promise to build 100,000 homes over ten years. The Housing Minister Phil Twyford announced a recalibration of the policy in January, after being forced to admit it would woefully miss its short-term targets. At the time, he was at pains to point out the long-term 100,000 homes target would stay, but that commitment is now up in the air. RNZ deputy political editor Craig McCulloch reports.
