The Speaker Trevor Mallard is in the spotlight over his handling of sexual assault allegations at Parliament.
Mr Mallard's comments on RNZ on Wednesday, suggesting a rapist could be walking the corridors of power, ultimately resulted in a staffer being stood down and his behaviour investigated.
But MPs have criticised the way the Speaker went about it, sparking panic and suspicion.
