Brexit 'cat-nip' for UK Conservatives - Watson

From Morning Report, 7:46 am on 19 June 2019

The contest to choose a replacement for British Prime Minister Theresa May is now down to five candidates.

Early favourite Boris Johnson comfortably won the latest round of voting by Tory MPs but the hard-lined former Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab is now out of the race.

Still in contention are Jeremy Hunt, Michael Grove, Rory Stewart and Sajid Javid.

The BBC's Rob Watson says Mr Raab's exit means the contest now lacks the most hardline Brexit candidate.
