Arps' jail sentence unlikely to deter white supremacists - Spoonley

An expert on far-right extremism says it is unlikely the prison sentence for a man who distributed the video of the mosque massacre will be a deterrent to other white supremacists.

Philip Arps was sentenced in the Christchurch District Court to 21 months in prison, but he says he will appeal his sentence.

Professor Paul Spoonley says that in his experience, white supremacists don't change.

He talks to Susie Ferguson.
