Boris Johnson 'a lot of different things to different people'

From Morning Report, 7:47 am on 21 June 2019

Jeremy Hunt will face Boris Johnson in the race to be the next British Prime Minister after Michael Gove was eliminated in the latest Tory leadership ballot a short time ago.

Mr Johnson and Mr Hunt will now compete in a run-off of the party's 160,000 members, and the winner will be announced in the week of July 22.

Boris Johnson is the hot favourite to win that vote and the deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters is already looking forward to dealing with him.

Mr Peters told members of the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Select Committee he's long expected Mr Johnson to succeed Theresa May.
