More to do on principals' pay, conditions - Hipkins

Primary school teachers have voted resoundingly in favour of the government's latest pay offer in their long-running pay dispute.

The decision follows more than a year of bargaining and three strikes by members of the Educational Institute.

It gives them pay parity with their secondary school colleagues.

But primary principals are yet to reach an agreement on their pay and conditions.

Education Minister Chris Hipkins tells Corin Dann that while he's made progress with the teachers, there's still work to do.
