Blue Smoke: NZ song, recording pioneers remembered 70 years on

From Morning Report, 7:56 am on 27 June 2019

Blue Smoke was the mastermind of Dannevirke man Ruru Karaitiana in May 1940, before Pixie Williams' rendition was released in June 1949 and became an instant hit. Our reporter, Jonathan Mitchell, attended a ceremony - filled with lots of music - to remember the pair in Wellington last night.
