Emma Rigby from Rotorua has become the first New Zealander to receive a British Citizens Award.
The award recognises her services to the community in Enfield, London, where she runs an online platform called Love Your Doorstep and a community patrol scheme.
She spoke to RNZ producer Emma Hurley.
