Vegans told putting stickers on supermarket meat is illegal

The meat industry says it hopes the actions of vegans who put stickers on meat in supermarkets to stop people buying it doesn't become more widespread in New Zealand.

Supermarkets across New Zealand are having to take food that's been targeted by activists off the shelf.

And they're considering upping security to stop the protests happening.

Beef and Lamb New Zealand chief executive, Rod Slater, told RNZ's Laura Dooney that what they're doing is illegal.
