From Morning Report, 8:26 am on 16 July 2019

Former South African president Jacob Zuma has told an inquiry that allegations of corruption against him were a conspiracy.

The inquiry was set up to look into multiple scandals that engulfed his presidency, forcing him to resign in February of 2018.

One of the key scandals was an allegation Mr Zuma was giving lucrative government contracts to an Indian business family - the Guptas.

Corin Dann speaks to RNZ's correspondent in Cape Town, Mark Roughton, about the inquiry.
