RNZ Music is stoked to be the first to share the new video from local folk-pop singer songwriter Harry Parsons, ‘Scars’.
Harry Parsons has been releasing music since 2013 when he took out first place in the solo/duo category at Smokefree Rockquest.
Born in the UK, Harry emigrated to New Zealand with his family when he was seven. Growing up in Cambridge, he surrounded by music – his dad plays in orchestras and jazz bands, and his sister makes folk music under the moniker East of Queen. By the time he was 10, he knew he wanted to make music.
Harry recorded ‘Scars’ at Neil Finn’s Roundhead Studios, with their in-house engineer Simon Gooding.
Gooding was recognised at the 2018 Music Awards for his work on Alien Weaponry’s debut album Tū, for which he won ‘Best Engineer’ and ‘Best Producer’ alongside Shihad’s Tom Larkin.
Harry is signed to Jan Hellriegel’s label Songbroker.
