Vai - a story of Pacific people

Becs Arahanga (Kai Tahu/ Ngati Raukawa ōku Iwi, Kati Mako te Hapū) and Sharon Whippy (Tota, Matagali -Mavana, Vanua Balavu, Lau, Fiji/Savusavu, Vanua Levu, Fiji /New Caledonia/New Zealand) talk to Kathryn Ryan about their new feature film exploring the contemporary reality of Pacific women through one life, "Vai". 

'Vai' is a follow up to the critically acclaimed fim 'Waru' by producers, Kerry Warkia and Kiel McNaughton. Vai was written and directed by nine Pacific women over 6 weeks. Its nationwide release is on April 4th.
