About the participants

Kevin Rudd was the Australian Prime Minister from December 2007 to June 2010 and again from June to September 2013. Leading the Labor Party, he had a high international profile (especially in relation to the Global Financial Crisis in 2007-2008) and has remained an active commentator since his time in power.

Christiane Amanpour is a major international journalist and television host, currently working for CNN as its chief international anchor. Of British and Iranian background, she has played a significant role in international news coverage for CNN and other USA networks.
