Media have been banned from the grounds of Tūrangawaewae Marae at Ngaruawahia this weekend for the anniversary celebration of Kingi Tūheitia's koroneihana.
It's the first time such a ban has been put in place and comes after a scathing letter was written about the spending of an advisor to the King.
