A teenage girl has died and another person has serious injuries after a quad bike crash in Kāwhia in Waikato this evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene at ironsand sand dunes in Tahāroa at 6.44pm.
Another person on the bike has been airlifted to Waikato Hospital with serious injuries and the Serious Crash Unit are investigating.
According to police and Worksafe statistics it is the ninth reported death involving a quad bike this year.
