The driver of a car that hit a pedestrian in Hamilton last night is assisting police.

The victim is in a serious condition in Waikato Hospital.
The police said a blue Subaru Legacy station wagon hit the pedestrian near the Tomin Road roundabout at about 7pm.
The police want to hear from any one who witnessed the crash.
