An eight-week-old baby was taken to Starship Hospital on Thursday with serious injuries.

The incident took place at an address in the Auckland suburb of Mt Wellington and the baby was taken to a medical centre in Panmure before being taken to hospital.
Police were notified on Friday and began investigating the incident, they are now asking the public for any information about the incident.
The baby's injuries are serious, but not life threatening.
