Four people have been arrested and charged with kidnapping and aggravated robbery in relation to an attack in the Canterbury town of Rolleston on Monday last week.
The three 23-year-old men, and a 21-year-old woman, have also been charged with burglary and unlawful possession of firearms.
One is a Black Power gang member and another is a Tribesman gang prospect.
Police said one victim was recovering from injuries he sustained.
Detective Sergeant Daniel Isherwood said the arrests of gang members followed others in the area recently, including members from Mongrel Mob, Tribesman, and Black Power.
