Search continues for tramper Darren Myers

Fresh search teams today joined the hunt for a Wellington tramper who's been missing in the Tararua Ranges for eight days.

Darren Myers, 48, failed to return on Saturday last week from a planned five-day tramp across the mountains.

Police said they searched near the Waingawa River and Arete Stream and replaced teams that had been deployed for four days.
