A homicide investigation has been launched after a person was found dead in Waikato.
Police were called to Ohautira Road just out of Raglan where a body was found about 8.15am on Tuesday.
Detective Inspector Andrew Saunders said the area had been cordoned off while the scene was examined.
"The community will continue (to) see a significant police presence in the area while enquiries are conducted to establish what has occurred.
"Police urge anyone who has information that could assist with enquiries to contact us via 105, referencing file number 240305/1701 or Operation Nikau."
Saunders said updates would be given when they were available.
