A person has died after a crash in South Waikato.
Police said the crash was reported on Wednesday evening, near Somerville Rd in Tapapa, north of Putaruru.
A spokesperson said despite efforts from those first on the scene, the only person involved in the crash died.
On Thursday morning, a separate two-vehicle crash on State Highway 5 - also in Tapapa - left one person with critical injuries and a second, moderate.
It happened about 6.05am. The serious crash unit was investigating and police said motorists should expect delays.
