The British boxer video-called Parker on Friday, and the pair agreed on the date.

"I'm ready to rock and roll," Chisora said in a video posted on his Twitter account.

"Let's get the lawyers in."

"I'm ready for the first of May," Parker responded.

"I'm ready for a great fight with you, and I'm ready for you to entertain us. Let's make it happen."

Parker had been scheduled to fight Chisora in October 2019, but was forced to pull out after contracting blood poisoning from a spider bite.

Earlier today, Parker announced he had split with trainer Kevin Barry.

The pair, who have been together for eight years, parted by mutual consent after Parker's points victory over Junior Fa in Auckland on Saturday.

"Without Kevin I wouldn't be where I am today," Parker said.

"But the time just feels right. It's fitting that we closed this chapter of my career with a win in front of a great home crowd in Auckland, and with bigger things just on the horizon."

Chisora, 37, last fought on October 31 last year, losing by unanimous decision against Oleksandr Usyk.
