A major palm oil producer Korindo has been found guilty today (Wednesday) of rainforest destruction and human rights abuses in Papua by the Forest Stewardship Council.
Environmental NGO Mighty Earth says despite the guilty verdict and the 'greenwashing' of their activities, the Council is not yet completely cutting its ties with the Korean-Indonesian logging and palm oil conglomerate.
Senior Campaign Director, Deborah Lapidus, spoke to Jenny Meyer about the decision and what it might mean for those affected in Papua and North Maluku where at least 30,000 hectares have been destroyed in a two years period.

Korindo has strongly criticised Mighty Earth over its campaign, saying some of its conclusions are wrong.
It says it's launched legal action against the NGO.
