Fiji urges one-way travel bubble with NZ, Aust

Fiji is calling for one-way quarantine-free travel with New Zealand and Australia amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The government says Fiji has proven itself as a safe destination for travellers during the pandemic with no cases reported for more than 300 days.

But it says New Zealand has been reluctant to enter into discussions on Fiji's so-called Bula Bubble scheme for travel between the two countries.

However, Australia and New Zealand are battling outbreaks of Covid-19 in the community and as Christine
Rovoi reports the Bula Bubble could still be a long way off.
