PNG's PM wants foreign police officers in leadership roles

Papua New Guinea wants to put 20 foreign police officers in leadership roles in the local force.

The prime minister, James Marape, told parliament this is one of the plans to try and improve law and order in the country.

PNG correspondent, Scott Waide told RNZ Pacific's Don Wiseman it's a road the country has been down before with little success.
