A community leader in PNG's Wapenamanda who has been sheltering women and children displaced by a recent massacre says they are now experiencing another challenge, flooding.

Aquila Kunzie says climate change is adversely impacting Enga Province with rain falls at unpredictable levels causing food gardens to be washed away by the flooding rivers.

He told RNZ Pacific's Lydia Lewis that in his village, where almost a hundred refugees who fled from the tribal fights are staying, food rationing is now in place.
