Opposition to proposed Hamilton Garden's revamp

From Afternoons, 1:35 pm on 6 September 2019

The Hamilton Gardens are the most visited tourist attraction in Waikato, and are used to host a yearly arts festival and other events. The Hamilton City Council has plans to revamp the gardens, to make access easier. But not everyone is happy, because it involves turning a popular performance space, the Rhododendron Lawn into a carpark.

Hamish Nathan is the former director of the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival and wants the council to scrap the carpark idea.
