The 'pink-collar recession'

New Zealand has officially gone into a recession after the economy contracted a record 12.2 percent in the three months to June.

This comes after data released by Stats NZ showed the impact of Covid-19 on jobs during that same quarter disproportionately affected women.

Australian senior economist Matt Grudnoff has been looking into what's called the 'pink-collar recession' - and speaks to Jesse about ways to stimulate the economy that benefit everyone.
