Auckland Council has chosen to slightly ease water restrictions, but the region's water woes are far from over. Restrictions on commercial users will be eased first - but loosening of restrictions on residential users is yet to be decided.
The continuing water crisis still weights heavy on councillors minds, with the city's dams currently just 67 percent full compared to 90percent this time a year ago.
