Nurses and their bosses are heading to the courts over strike action, as both accuse each other of not doing enough to keep patients safe.
About 30,000 district health board nurses have issued a formal strike notice for August 19.
DHBs have retaliated by taking them to the Employment Court, saying they're not doing enough to guarantee safe staffing on strike day.
