Auckland's Karangahape Road is known for it's colourful community and today, that community is furious after the vandalism of it's rainbow crossing.
White paint was slathered over the crossing by three people in the middle of the night.
Auckland Transport said it will be removing the paint tonight, but the crossing won't be repainted right away.
However, residents and workers of the street are determined to bring it back and make it even brighter than before.
