The Rare Breeds Conservation Society wants to know how many rare breed animals are in New Zealand and where they are located. It is conducting a census to count rare breeds of poultry, pigeons, sheep, cattle, rabbits, pigs, goats and camelids. The society's president, Aaron La Roche, hopes they will be pleasantly surprised and find numbers are building.
