Covid traffic light system is gone, mask requirements dropped

As of this morning, the Covid Traffic Light system is a thing of the past. Instead of going to the Green Light setting, Cabinet yesterday decided to scap the Covid-19 Protection Framework altogether. It means mask wearing requirements are now gone except in health and aged care facilities, while household contacts of people infected with Covid will no longer need to isolate. In addition, all government vaccine mandates will end on the 26th of September. Leonard Powell reports.
