Warkworth Community Response group kicks in after flooding

Slips and surface flooding have caused general chaos around the top of the North Island. This latest bout of weather's closed SH1 through the Brynderwyns and the Dome Valley between Auckland and Northland. The Highway had only just reopened 9 days ago. Leonard Powell spoke to some Northlanders stranded south of the road closures. Whangarei resident Ray Topia was on his way to Auckland for Business when the rain hit, forcing him to spend the night in Warkworth. That was last night at Warkworth Town Hall.
