Warnings iwi face legal action from disenfranchised urban Maori

Iwi are being warned they face legal action if they don't start looking after their people who live outside their tribal area. Treaty of Waitangi settlements have helped strengthen the financial position of iwi - turning some into New Zealand's most influential corporate players. But critics argue tribes spend most of their dividends at home, and ignore the plight of the people who have moved to the city and fallen on hard times.
