The government's shiny new Identity Check online verification tool is being piloted, using a common Google technology that is copping heat in Europe.
That's because Google Analytics transfers data to the US. Identity Check is being talked up by the Department of Internal Affairs that is telling Ministers there's strong demand for it.
That is despite three of the six cornerstone ministries now say they are NOT on board.
