Primary school teachers are in line for substantial pay increases off the back of the secondary teachers' pay deal.
Yesterday, PPTA members voted overwhelmingly in favour of the deal, which includes a 14.5 percent pay rise over the next two years, bringing the top teachers' rate to $103,000 a year.
Pay parity agreed by both unions means the increase will be passed on to primary teachers, and if accepted, will flow on to some early childhood and kindergarten teachers as well.
