Auckland Transport has spent $6 million dollars on staff redundancies as part of a drive to cut costs.
It includes payouts to nine people who had been offered other jobs within AT but who decided to take the money instead.
One of the nine says it seems crazy to have been offered redundancy when a job was available, but the agency is defending its decision.
