In Brazil the country's supreme court has ruled in favour of an indigenous group who were evicted from their land by settlers over generations.
The ruling will set a precedent for hundreds of indigenous land-claims.
The Federal University of Goiás Professor of Linguistics, Christiane Cunha de Oliveira says Aotearoa could learn something from Brazil.
