Woolskin tannery experiences resurgence in demand

One of the country's last remaining woolskin tanneries is experiencing a resurgence in demand for sheepskin.

After years of muted interest in sheepskin products, Classic Sheepskins in Napier, says consumers are becoming more environmentally aware.

Shoppers are now demanding natural fibres in everything ranging from homewares, baby products, car seat covers and woolly slippers.

Kate Green paid the business a visit.
