The first of three days of celebrations at Rātana is getting underway, with church leaders, iwi leaders and politicians converging at the small Rangitikei village.
Coming just days after the Kiingitanga's historic hui, Māori leaders have marked it as a chance to continue the conversations started at Tūrangawaewae.
