Speaking at his post-cabinet press conference on Tuesday, Prime Minister Christopher Luxon said he was expecting to be challenged at Rātana on Wednesday.
Luxon also responded to accusations that his government was reflecting elements of white supremacy in the rolling back of policies affecting Māori.
