New Zealand nurses are calling for an immediate and lasting ceasefire in Gaza, with concerns about reports that hospital and health workers in the war-ravaged territory are being targeted.
Sean Casey from the World Health Organisation says healthcare workers in Gaza are fearing for their life just going to work.
The Nurses Organisation kaiwhakahaere, Kerri Nuku, says health staff are protected under international humanitarian law against such action.
