Thousands of people had to evacuate Claudelands Oval in Hamilton on Sunday night after a cluster of lightning strikes got worryingly close to the venue.
Headliners, Simple Minds, had just played 'Don't You (Forget About Me)' when a production manager cut their set short with instructions for everyone to leave.
The band is set to play again next Saturday, in Queenstown.
