Universal Music plans to pull music from Tik Tok

Songs from artists such as Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Drake are set to disappear from Tik Tok.

Universal Music is planning to pull millions of its tracks from the platform, after talks about payments broke down.

Universal accused Tik Tok of bullying, saying the company wanted to pay a "fraction" of the rate other sites do.

Tik Tok, which has more than a billion users, said Universal was presenting a "false narrative and rhetoric".

The contract between Tik Tok and Universal is set to expire on Thursday.
